Do Flyer Drops Still Work?

Do flyer letterbox drops still work?

I mean we have all been there – pull a heap of  flyers from our mail box and put them straight into the bin…..what a waste.

However, if you were in the market for a new home and a heap of real estate flyers dropped into your mailbox, you would take a look at those flyers right?!? RIGHT!

Well, news flash, those are the people you are targeting, the people that are in the market to buy what you are selling.

-Real Estate agents aren’t doing it because they like to waste their money, they are doing it because it works.

-Dominos didn’t build a global business just to waste money on sending out flyers with discount coupons on, they are sending them because it gets people through their door.

I could go on but I’m sure you get the point.

While the rise of digital marketing has certainly changed the way in which people advertise, there are still many advantages to using flyers as a promotional tool.

One advantage of flyer drops is that they are relatively inexpensive to produce and distribute (we know a really good printer 😉 and we can recommend some local distributors if you need, or why not get those steps in and deliver them yourself). Compared with other marketing methods like online ads or direct mail campaigns, printing and distributing flyers can be a cost-effective way to reach potential customers. This can be especially beneficial for small businesses with limited marketing budgets.

Flyers can also be highly targeted. For example, if you own a local coffee shop, you might distribute flyers (or loyalty cards) in nearby suburbs or outside of local events. This can help you reach people who are more likely to be interested in your product or service – your target audience.

Of course, the effectiveness of flyer drops can vary depending on several factors, including the quality of the design and messaging, the distribution method and location, and the overall reach of the campaign. It’s important to carefully plan and execute a flyer drop campaign to ensure that it is targeted, creative, and cost-effective.

So to recap, if you are considering print marketing as park of your marketing plan, number 1, ensure you have a great design that stands out, number 2, make sure your message is clear, number 3, ensure the flyers are being distributed to the right audience and most importantly, number 4, ensure people know how to contact you.
